What is benevolent(self)?

If you’re new to the software industry, you might be in the honeymoon stage of the job. Let this newsletter be a guide to help you through the struggles ahead and avoid burnout. Whether you’re a developer, designer, business analyst or CEO, you’ll encounter difficult times at work and in your personal life. Software is stressful but, it doesn’t have to be.

My aim is to help you manage your mental state. This will boost your productivity and forge resilience. The ultimate goal is to continue doing what you love, hacking, designing, scheming and creating without getting burnt-out.

If you think this might be helpful for someone else, share it around. I won’t stop you.

Who am I?

Hi, I’m Seth 👋.

I’m a Software Engineer from New Zealand, living and working in London. I’ve worked remotely for over a year in the UK for an overseas consultancy company, dealing with challenging projects and hard deadlines. I now work for a product company in London.

I like to learn new things and teach others. If you’re interested in web development tutorials and insights then look no further than my blog - Benevolent Bytes.
